Photo reviews

How reviews and confirmations work

We ask contributors to share a photo they took and their own experience. Reviews go through automated checks. Flagged reviews can be assessed manually. Approval is not a guarantee that a photo is unedited or free of AI generation.

  • Email address confirmed means the link sent to that address was used. It does not prove a purchase or the identity of a person.
  • Company management confirmed relates to access to this company page. A paid plan does not verify individual reviews.
  • A review invitation does not independently prove a purchase. An order reference supplied by a company is not independent purchase verification either.
  • Publishing a photo with a review does not automatically permit reuse in marketing. A subscription does not grant that permission either.

IndieReader targets independent, hybrid, and small press authors who need credible visibility in a crowded publishing market. The platform positions itself in the mid-range segment, offering professional book reviews at roughly half the price of comparable services such as Kirkus and Foreword Reviews. Its reviewer team consists of working journalists, editors, librarians, and published writers, which gives its assessments a degree of professional authority. Under new ownership from the founders of Wildbound Literary PR, the platform is expanding beyond reviews into community building, strategic partnerships, and tools that connect indie titles with readers and industry professionals.
